What Does Winnie The Pooh Have To Say About Happiness?

“Don’t underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.”

Just How Do We Find Happiness?

We are all born happy.  Just think of a baby lying in its crib, laughing, smiling and only crying when it needs something, is hurting or maybe just needs a cuddle and as soon as she gets what she wants she is back to laughing, gurgling and being fascinated by what is going on around her.  And later on, when that baby grows up a little into an infant, when she falls and takes a tumble, all it takes is a quick cuddle, a smile, a hug and she is as right as rain once again running and exploring and finding out about the world.

Happiness is indeed inside us but over the years we are moulded and affected by outside events, parents, teachers, bosses and society as a whole and each time we are scolded and ridiculed another layer of self-defence is laid down and we become less our happy selves and guarded and influenced by outside influences.  We are all unique beings with different life experiences and so there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to finding happiness.
